Modica Calcio Beat Enna 3-0 in Serie D as Asero Corners Set Up Home Win
Two of the three goals came from Asero corners as Modica pressed from the start; one report records possession above 70 per cent for the home side.

Modica Calcio returned to winning ways in front of their own supporters with a 3-0 victory over Enna Calcio, a result assembled from two goals late in the first half and a third within a minute of the restart. Pierce completed the scoring, Hulidov headed the second and an own goal opened the account in a match the home side controlled from the opening exchanges at the ground three of the four match reports name as the Pietro Scollo.
Modica began at pace. Asero delivered a sixth-minute ball into the area that Pierce narrowly failed to head past Caputo; two minutes later Ferchichi shot high from a promising position; and on 20 minutes another Asero cross from the left travelled across the area without finding a touch. Kljajic then picked out Pierce, who headed the ball down and wide on 27 minutes, before the same forward ended a long, scrappy exchange of rebounds by shooting over the bar three minutes later. Enna's clearest moment came on 34 minutes, when Floridia's free kick grazed the top of the net. The deadlock broke on 40 minutes: Asero's corner was turned into the net during an attempted clearance, with three of the four accounts crediting Mazzone and a fourth naming Gabriel. Two minutes later Misseri struck the post from distance. On the stroke of half-time another Asero corner found Hulidov, whose header made it 2-0, timed at 45 minutes by most accounts and 46 by the report that places it in first-half stoppage time.
Modica needed barely a minute of the second half to settle matters. Pierce's initial effort was saved by Caputo, but he reacted fastest to convert the rebound for 3-0. With the result secure, Raciti managed his substitutions without abandoning the search for a fourth goal: Flores beat Caputo with a low shot on 38 minutes only for a defender to clear off the line, and two minutes later the same player headed Cappello's cross against the crossbar. The one account that supplies fuller detail records Modica's share of possession as comfortably above 70 per cent, a goal ruled out for offside and credited to Reinero, and added time of one and three minutes.
The win came on the sixth matchday. Copelli of Mantova refereed, assisted by Moscolari of Bergamo and Zanibelli of Brescia; Risso and Rossitto of Enna and Callegari of Modica were booked, and the corner count finished 7-1 in Modica's favour. The table published alongside one of the reports placed Modica on seven points and left Enna on a single point, with Reggina on 15, Vibonese and Sambiase on 13 and Avola on 12.
