Modica beat Enna 3-0 as Ragusa lose late at Avola in Serie D
Modica's home win lifted them to seven points in Girone I, while Ragusa, still without a victory this season, were undone by a late Galesio penalty at Avola.

Two Sicilian clubs from the province of Ragusa left Sunday's Girone I fixtures with opposite results. Modica beat Enna 3-0 at the "Vincenzo Barone", while Ragusa were beaten 1-0 away at Avola, conceding from a late Galesio penalty.
Modica's lead arrived in the 40th minute through an own goal by the visitors, and the second followed shortly afterwards when Hulidov rose above everyone to head home from a corner. The victory, reported by Ragusa H24, took Filippo Raciti's side to seven points and came in a match Modica needed to win to give continuity to recent weeks of work.
Ragusa's afternoon at Avola went the other way. The azzurri travelled to the "Meno Di Pasquale" for a derby that La Sicilia framed as already weighty, arriving at the sixth matchday with two points from two draws and three defeats, and still chasing a first win of the season. Their hosts, one of the most impressive of the promoted sides, had taken nine points from their opening five fixtures. A single penalty settled it.
Enna, meanwhile, remain bottom of the table, without a win or a goal to their name. Raciti had warned against treating them as a formality, noting that Enna had lost their matches only after the 82nd minute and that they did not intend to play the part of sacrificial victims, and calling for maximum concentration.
The standings now leave Modica on seven points, with Ragusa still on two after six games and still searching for that first victory.
