An Exhibition Opening, a Laboratory Launch and a Film Debut in Scicli
Olimpo Company returns after years away to launch the new INSCENA theatre-dance laboratory, as Galleria Quam opens a Simone Geraci show and Anna Foglietta brings her directorial debut to Scicli.

At six in the evening on Saturday 3 October, the Galleria Quam in Scicli opens its doors on Nubila, a solo show by the painter Simone Geraci, curated by Francesco Piazza. It marks the artist's return to the gallery seven years after his last solo exhibition there, carrying work that occupied him for more than a year. The title comes from his most recent cycle, a series of paintings on clouds.
In those canvases, as the Sicilian daily Quotidiano di Ragusa describes them, the pictorial matter is restless and the painter's hand is immediately visible on the surface. The informal geometries that have always been present in Geraci's research reappear. The second nucleus of the exhibition is the figure, the theme on which the article says he has built the most solid part of his career, followed by collectors across Italy. In the new works the line and the settings change; the colours move towards a register the article does not specify, its published text breaking off at that point.
Two days later, on Monday 5 October at 19:30, at the Domus Karol in Villaggio Jungi — the address given is via Papa Giovanni XXIII 23 — Olimpo Company presents INSCENA, which Quotidiano di Ragusa calls a new theatre-dance laboratory, conceived and directed by Gianni Falla. Alessandro Sparacino will handle the acting component and Adriana Aprile the dance, and all three trainers will attend the presentation evening, which is open to everyone with free admission. For the company it is a return after years of absence. The laboratory is framed as a path of artistic and human growth and, over time, aims to build larger projects; its direction, the article says, follows the experiences that have marked the company's history.
Twelve days after that, on Saturday 17 October at 19:30, Anna Foglietta comes to the Nuovo Cineteatro Italia to present Una Storia, the film that marks her debut as a director. Ragusa News reports that the film will be screened, after which Foglietta will meet the audience and talk with Marianna Triberio about the path that led to its making, with time set aside for questions from the spectators. The film stars Alba Rohrwacher and Guido Caprino and tells of Erika and Mauro, a couple living in the provinces whose daily life the summary describes only in part.
The three dates fall across a two-week stretch in October 2026, with the first two events two days apart and the third twelve days after that; the article texts do not themselves name the year. One gallery, one presentation evening in a village within Scicli, one cinema: the programme is modest in scale, and nothing in the material presented suggests the three events are connected beyond the calendar. What lingers is the detail of Geraci's clouds, painted over more than a year, hanging again in a gallery he last occupied seven years earlier.
