Woman lightly injured as car overturns in Comiso after striking parked vehicles
Local reports from Ragusa diverge on the number of vehicles and casualties, while agreeing that a woman escaped with light injuries when her car overturned in viale Europa.

A woman suffered light injuries on Saturday morning when the car she was driving overturned in viale Europa, in Comiso's Santi Apostoli district near the municipal swimming pool. Reports from Ragusa say she was at the wheel of a Jeep Renegade, described variously as dark or grey, travelling in the direction of Pedalino when she lost control of the vehicle, which struck cars parked along the roadside and came to rest on its side in the middle of the carriageway. Residents and passing motorists raised the alarm, according to those accounts.
Staff of the 118 medical emergency service treated the driver at the scene, and most reports state that her condition is not a cause for concern. Ragusa H24 adds that she was taken to hospital. One account differs on the scale of the incident: Radio RTM describes a collision involving three cars — the Jeep, a white Kia Sportage and a black Nissan Qashqai — with two people injured. The other reports describe a single vehicle in motion, which struck several parked cars before overturning, and none of them records a second casualty. Radio RTM also cites the 115 emergency number, which is the fire service rather than the medical line, while the remaining outlets cite the 118.
On cause, most reports — Corriere di Ragusa, Quotidiano di Ragusa, La Sicilia, Giornale Ibleo and Radio RTM — state that the cause has not been established and that the dynamics remain under investigation. Ragusa H24 reports only that the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the Ragusa Oggi excerpt ends before any such statement on cause. Ragusa H24 reports that Polizia locale officers carried out surveys at the scene and that firefighters removed the vehicle and made the road safe; other accounts refer more generally to the forces of law and order attending.
Traffic in the area slowed during the rescue operations, with a lane temporarily closed until the overturned vehicle was removed, according to Ragusa H24. The toll and the circumstances remain provisional: several of the accounts supplied are partial, and no findings from the investigating force have been published.
